5 on Friday

1. We almost made it the whole month without missing a day of work/day-care due to illness… almost.

2. Ellie got sick with the flu (fever) on Sunday night. Poor little girl had a fever of 103! She got to stay home with Daddy on Monday and Mommy on Tuesday. I think she was glad to be back with her friends at day-care on Wednesday.

3. Both Ellie and I had our 3rd ear infection in just over 2 months. One more for either of us in the next 4 months and we will be referred to specialists. Did you know there were tubes for adults?

4. We had a “Souper Bowl” Food Day at work yesterday. I brought chili. As I was getting out of the car at work the crock pot fell to the ground and broke. No worries- the chili was safely in a plastic ice cream bucket and survived.

5. I got a new crock pot yesterday! We had been talking about getting a new one for over a year now. I guess we just needed the motivation to actually do it.

Yes! I did know you could do tubes in the ears for adults!! I had them in! It's a really quick and (mostly) painless procedure. But for kids, they have to put them to sleep (which is TOTALLY scary, but it is REALLY quick!) because they won't hold still enough for it!
