1-year Stats

A couple of weeks ago we went in for Eleanor's 1-year well check-up with Dr. Jay. Overall, it was a good visit. She does have low iron, so she is on some iron supplements right now and will go back in for more testing in a month or so. The Dr. also heard an irregular heartbeat, it was re-starting as he put it. We followed up with an EKG at the hospital a few days later, and got the test results back this week: everything looks good!

Eleanor is getting taller and back up in the 90% range, while her weight percentile dropped again this visit. She is developing well, right on track for her age. It is crazy to think of how far she has come in just this short year.

5 on Friday: Thanksgiving Version

Happy Thanksgiving- a day late. We should all be thankful for what we have each and every day of the year, not just one day.

1. I am thankful for a healthy family, and the results of Ellie EKG showed nothing to worry about.

2. I am thankful for family that makes room at the table, even if it is a day before the event. And being able to see 30-some of my aunts/uncles/cousins / parents/ siblings/ niece/ nephew and of course, Grandma!

3. I am thankful to have my Christmas shopping done prior to Thanksgiving. And very thankful to a free trial of Amazon Prime.

4. I am thankful that thus far Ellie has left the Christmas tree alone (one day and counting). And to my husband for helping put it up Wednesday night.

5. I am thankful for having the week off of work. Lots of time to get things done and spend time with the little one.

Christmas Card

For the first time in a number of years, I didn't make homemade Christmas cards to send out. I wanted to show a number of different pictures of Eleanor throughout the year, Shutterfly allowed me to do just that. 1) Our baby is officially ONE!

2) Her one year appointment went well, more on that in another post.

3) I ordered our Christmas cards this week, I cannot wait for them to arrive!

4) Today started Nick's vacation from work until after Thanksgiving. Tomorrow starts mine!

5) And now things are starting to slow down.
