5 on Friday

1. I successfully hosted my first larger group gathering at the new house this week. I love having the space to host both in the kitchen and the sitting area.

2. We love the new furniture, although it is way bigger in person than in the show-room. I guess that is better than the alternative. And it all fits perfectly.

3. Ellie has done an amazing job with her new bed. Post to come later.

4. We celebrated Jamie and Jill's engagement over dinner with the two families on Saturday. It is amazing how well Jill and Bodey fit into the family. Ellie loves having someone her age to run around with.

5. Ellie is such a character. And she knows it. She says, "Silly, Ellie" very frequently. She is right.

Ellie became a pro at unwrapping presents at Christmas time. Here are a few:




Santa has a tradition of dropping off a gift on Christmas Eve morning. PJ's for Ellie to wear when he comes to visit her that night.

Greving Christmas & Cousin Camp-Out

A little behind, but better late than never. Here are a few pictures from Christmas on the Greving side. One of the traditions is the cousins having a "Cousin Camp-Out" when they spend the night. This year Ellie got to join them (at least for an hour). It is quite an adventure.


Poor Uncle Brian laid down for a chat with Ellie and ended up being dog-piled. I guess the cousins wanted to continue a Greving Family tradition. At least they are all pretty light weight now, so I think Uncle Brian survived.


Mom and Dad with all of the grandchildren. The group keeps getting bigger and bigger! The girls still outnumber the boys.

Day-Care Holiday Program

As I mentioned a month or so ago, Ellie's day-care put on a Holiday Program for all of the parents of the kids. Here is a picture of the event. Ellie is the one in pink.

How the teachers got all the kids (5 groups of 12+ kids each starting at age 18 months up to age 5) to be so structured and well behaved, I have no idea. The kids did great with the songs and were all really cute.
