We held her party a week early, so we could spend her actual birthday relaxing as a family. With the running around the day of the party, that was the best idea ever. Another post detailing the party decorations will come later- the party was zoo themed based around the shirt she was wearing. We fit nearly 30 people in our house for the party! Can you believe that? I was a little worried prior to the party, but it worked out just fine. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Happy 1st Birthday: The Party
Over a month later, I am finally getting around to Ellie's birthday party posts. I really have no excuse on why it has taken me so long, it just has.
We held her party a week early, so we could spend her actual birthday relaxing as a family. With the running around the day of the party, that was the best idea ever. Another post detailing the party decorations will come later- the party was zoo themed based around the shirt she was wearing. We fit nearly 30 people in our house for the party! Can you believe that? I was a little worried prior to the party, but it worked out just fine. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Of course there is the opening of gifts. Ellie really enjoyed the bows.
In order to keep the kids involved, we had each of them help Ellie open the gift they brought her. I think that worked really well, and they were far faster than she would have been on her own.
