Another part of our day with Ellie's Godmom last Friday was spent chasing Mike and Megan's dog, Baxter, around the house. As you can see, Baxter tried to get away from Ellie as much as possible (except when he was trying to give her kisses). She on the other hand, loved him!

Splash Park
Last Friday, Eleanor and I have the pleasure of joining Godmom, Megan, at the Ankeny Splash Park! Here are two photos from the morning (I know they are not great pictures, they were done via my phone).

3.2 miles.
We did our first family 5K this past Sunday, and a proud to say that Eleanor got first in her age group! To be honest, she was the only one in her age group (5 and under) and was the only stroller in the race. Also, we were not able to run the entire race, as my knee started bothering me during the run and we had to walk a decent amount. But, we finished and now have a time to beat. 43:11.
A huge thanks from me to my wonderful husband, who instead of actually running and getting a decent time- made it a family event and stayed back with me. What a great guy!

Swim time with Godmom!
A week ago Thursday, Ellie’s Godmom (my sister, Megan) came over for a visit. Ellie (or her Mommy) was super excited to show off one of her many swimsuits and Ellie’s love of water. We didn’t have enough time to get the new pool ready, so we made do with the bathtub.

How cute are these three girls!
Last weekend we had a great visit with Nick's high school friends, RJ and Sarah. They have two little girls right around Ellie's age (ages 1 and 6 months)- it is so cute to see the three girls together.
